Well, the same could be said about GT5 surely. How many people who haven't owned a PS1 or 2 have that much interest in GT5? Not many I'd wager. Transgenerational exclusives are mostly only of interest to those who owned/played the previous iterations of the game on older consoles.
I'd argue that a game like Uncharted 2 is more likely to convince a 360 owner to get a PS3 than GT5. After all Forza 3 = GT5 to all intents and purposes, so there is little incentive to buy a PS3 to play a game that has its equal on the 360. Uncharted 2 however doesn't have such a close counterpart on 360; though I'm sure there are 360 games that sit in a similar niche, just not as close as F3 is to GT5.
