So will the female protagonist give a sightseeing tour to the male-version of Elizabeth? And at the end... ;)

Haha, I forgot about that. Of course when the time comes, I won't let him have my punani.

@sc94597, I'm thinking the same too - SMT main series / spin-offs on the DS while PSP gets Persona. I'm a little disappointed because I would rather have them on consoles, but I can understand why they're releasing them on handhelds. Anyways, this pretty much pushed me to buy a PSP next year.

Yeah, me too, i actually hope P5 to be ps3/360 game or at least psp. But what makes me sad is that a multiplat ps3/360 could easily sell 600k worldwide, and they don't need to push graphics, making something better than p4 is already enough to me and most persona fans... And making something better looking isn't any hard since p4 graphics aren't great, even for ps2 standards...

It most likely would sell that much on PSP, or more with a PSP/PS2 or even Wii multiplat. It would also be much cheaper. Atlus isn't a company that has a large enough series to keep them alive if one of their games causes a drain in their overall budget. Also Jrpgs are the genre that needs extra power gameplay-wise the least, especially turn based traditional ones. The only benefit HD Consoles will give is better graphics, and I don't think that is enough of a benefit to give up more profit for. It is just smarter overall to release it on a handheld, and imo the game would be better because they could put that money that they would spend on things required on an HD Console into more important things.

Well, i think that hd games just get expensive when you try to push graphics actually, if you try just okay graphics or little-less than average it should be cheap to make. I don't believe Valkyria Chronicles costed more than 10 million dolars to Sega or Tales of Vesperia costed more than 10 million dolars to Namco Bandai or Disgaea 3 costed more than 1 million to NIS.

If you want to sell the same amount that you would on PSP/PS2/Wii you would have to make the game appeal graphically. This is especially when you consider that eh combined userbase is many many times smaller than what 1 of the my previous mentioned platforms have, let alone multiple amounts. Also handhelds are much more popular in Japan compared to consoles, and that means the game has a better chance of success on a handheld. Disgaea is an exception btw, because it was always pretty much the lowest of the lowest in terms of graphics, and I why would you develop a 10m budgeted game when you could develop a 3 or 4m one that provides better sales.
