Transformers had record breaking day 1 HD format sales, and yet those sales still equaled only 2% of the total 1st day sales. Blu-ray and HD DVD are still both complete non-factors. I agree and I believe that people have been spouting statistics without (really) thinking about what they mean ...

For months we have see people posting that HDTV adoption will "Hit 50%" by 2010 without considering that this means more than 50% of households will not have HDTVs until 2010 ... People don't seem to be thinking rationally and believe that people will (instantly) rush out and buy a HD-Movie player before (or as soon as) they buy a HDTV
