Eh I already have my PS3 so why should I care one way or the other right? Just hope Sony knows it's not a sexy as the PS2 slim :P

PS2 BC = more hardware = a bigger console

Yeah maybe, I mean the PS2 components are already pretty small they could probably fit it somewhere. Even in that slimer shell.

If I had to bet, I'd say the slim PS3 shell is already as small as possible right now. Remember there's a hard drive and BD drive in there...

Look at this motherboard picture, the PS2 EE+GS chip on the left is pretty big:
