No, it wasn't. Compare 3D games in which you can rotate the camera it is obvious which system is the more powerful.

As for Soriku's comment: the strongest system never won would be correct. For example the SNES wasn't the weakest system of its generation.


SNES was strongest? Really? Well, doesn't matter when you have all third-parties backing you up lol (seeng as how NES won, it was bound they'd support SNES too, and besides, Nintendo still followd their same plan like with the NES: Expand the market).

So which one was stronger than SNES?  Neo-Geo shouldn't count.  And which was stronger than NES?  Do you refer to Genesis? 

Strictly speaking, the Genesis + CD was equal to or stronger than the SNES in every area except colors on screen
