I actually think its one of the best years of gaming for PS3 gamers.

2009 > 2008 > 2007 > 2006

By the end of this year I will have played about double the amount of new releases I played in 2008.

And 2010 looks to be even better than 2009!! I wonder if 2011 can top 2010 though. That might be tough.
