You have got to be kidding. If metroid was like that it wouldn't be my favorite series. The game still looks great, but nothing like metroid.

It basically Metroid minus any creativity, art style, and stigma breaking protanganist.

It replaces classic sci-fi design for the modern 'hardcore' demographic with guns and a tough meaningless white (anti) hero.

No, you need to play the game to make observations about anything other than the art style. How does he know what the protaganist is like, has he seen the cutscenes? I don't think it's too much to ask that if you have not played and have no intentions of playing certain games, you refrain from commenting on them. But I guess that makes too much sense...
