Not only that. At that time, there were some radio stations that "played" games and programs. You just had to start recording at the right time. and after that you could play it on your C64 :) Before any of you start babling about piracy, at that time there was no such thing as illegal software in Poland. First bill about copyright protection was in 1994 i think.

But interestingly enough, the tone would have to be perfect, otherwise all you'd get is the LOADING ERROR message.
