Sony will be just stupid if don't atend the rumors?

There might be just price cut but no PS3 slim. I think PS3 slim is just a rumor. Because many thinks SOny will only drop PS3 price if PS3 slim is available. Price cut is almost confirmed but it doen not mean PS3 slim will be available. Am I right ?
