LOL. Well I didn't pre-order Halo 3, but I pre-ordered and paid for the Halo: ODST Ltd edition, so I guess I balance you out, eh?!? Im thinking it'll get 3M if its ok, 4M if its good and 5-6M if its great-excellent. Since I think its going to be good, probably 4M but theres always a chance it will exceed my expections. Firefight is the mode which may cause the game to stand or fall. The only thing I really want, is for the game to outsell Killzone 2s current LTD total in the first week! Its for the laughs and irony more than anything. So we agree? |
Haha. Balancing out the universe as always Squall
The game will definitely sell well. I just don't expect it to do Halo 3 (> 10 million) numbers. The problem with estimating this game is that it's a very unique case. It's a self-proclaimed expansion yet offers a full campaign, new multiplayer maps and modes and is priced at a full game price. Normally expansions rely on having the main game and a reduced priced but this isn't like that. It can be played stand-alone. I really can't estimate it because it's such a unique scenario. It could do anywhere between 3 and 10 million for all I know.
Your predictions are very reasonable indeed. As for selling Killzone 2 LTD within a week - 1.8 mill. Hmm... That sounds possible with the current preorder rate as well as how well Halo 3 sold at opening. It would be kind of amusing and I await your threads in response to whether it does/does not happen quite avidly. :)
