They're doing a changeover in SKUs, im not sure exactly what the plan is. For a 2nd Halo title I don't think they really need to build anticipitation 6 months out from release. I suspect a short sharp advertising campaign, perhaps even to coincide with their SKU reshuffle.

The other thing is, I suspect Forza 3 is their big title for the year and will get the mega $$$ in advertising.

They aren't the only one's doing a changeover eh Squallium?

I think it's almost certain in everyone's minds that this won't be a ground breaking or record setting game. Heck, I bought the Legendary edition of Halo 3 and I haven't even bothered preordering this game - or considered buying it near release. It will definitely sell well and make back more than the development costs (and then some) but I don't think anyone is setting (or should set) any major goals for this game.

The sales won't be poor with respect to other titles coming out this fall, but it won't be a huge phenomena either like Halo 3 was/is.

LOL.

Well I didn't pre-order Halo 3, but I pre-ordered and paid for the Halo: ODST Ltd edition, so I guess I balance you out, eh?!?

Im thinking it'll get 3M if its ok, 4M if its good and 5-6M if its great-excellent. Since I think its going to be good, probably 4M but theres always a chance it will exceed my expections. Firefight is the mode which may cause the game to stand or fall. The only thing I really want, is for the game to outsell Killzone 2s current LTD total in the first week! Its for the laughs and irony more than anything.

So we agree?
