I think it is obvious that because they have not come outright and stated these are all just rumours and there is no slim/price-cut planned and only come out with 'we refuse to comment on speculation' this states that these are indeed real!
I mean it is an almost mirror image of what happened with the PSP Go right before E3 this year lol
