If that happens, the reason is probably that it'll be an awesome game. I had scarcely heard of the game prior to this thread, but if Microsoft have now paid for exclusivity this far into development, it can only be because the game is amazing.
On the other hand, the last time a console owner bought exclusivity from Ubisoft the result was Haze...
