I agree with sieanr on this one.
The word "tirade" is singular. For example, sieanr's single post could be considered a tirade (though an abnormally short one). If sieanr made one long rant against the ps3, it would be considered a tirade, however, you were referring to his many posts that are anti-ps3, which would be multiple tirades, though even then, most of them would not be considered tirades in the traditional sense, as a tirade is usually rather lengthy, synonymous to a rant, rather than a single statement.
Crusade, however, would've fit perfectly with what you were trying to say, so I can understand sieanr's choice to substitute it with tirade. Sieanr could be said to be crusading against the ps3, his crusade consisting primarily of tirades against the ps3.
