A single phrase can be seen in 3 different ways:

It's actually meant to say, "That's like a rainbow of happiness."
or
Someone saying, "That's gay" with disappointment.
It's actually meant to say, "That's stupid."
or
Someone saying, "That's gay" with one eyebrow raised or a shiver with disgust.
It's actually meant to say, "That's homoerotic."
