Sony OWNS Insomniac's developed games. Different from Naughty Dog, Naughty Dog is OWNED by Sony. Just for clarification.

Just to clarify I know Naughty dog is owned by Sony. I was talking about Insomniac and Naughty Dogs relationship with each other which goes back to PS1 days. Anyway just because Sony owns these games doesn't mean they funded them. Maybe they did maybe they didn't. neither of them ever stated Sony funded them so only they know but if Sony did fund them then it takes the whole independant studio thing from them which is of the things they are know for

Just because they are independant doesn't mean Sony won't fund the IPs, at least not to my knowledge. Funding a project that you own isn't the same as moneyhatting, if that's what you're getting at. Sony can't moneyhat their own IPs.
