1. Insomniac barely counts as independent. I mean, in the legal definition they are, but when your company has only ever worked through having your games published by one of the big three, you can't really call yourself an independent developer like any other. Their ability to remain independent is mostly due to the mercies of Sony in this case.
2. Uematsu's role is heavily overestimated. He's no more significant than, say, Kondo. He is incredibly talented, but not "10 most influential in gaming history" material
3. This post is strongly anti-dreamcast. They talk of the death of the Dreamcast as if its a good thing, and claim Sega's quality control went up since then.
4. J Allard is no mastermind, imo. The successes of the Xbox lie at the hands of others.
5. I think they listed Kutaragi for the wrong reasons, too little focus on his actual abilities as a hardware designer, and also selectively forgetting everything he's done since 2005.
