I found that out the hard way, someone asked what genre i liked when i was younger, i said "Rock" (as thats the genre most of my bands get labeled with), they thought one of two things, 1) that rock meant stuff like Metalica (no joke, he actually said "so like metalica and stuff"), 2) that rock is stuff like Panic at the Disco (what another idiot thought i meant)
seriously genres are beyond insane, they put The Beatles, Queen, Metalica and Fall Out Boy in the same genre half the time, music channels are worst for this, whenever they have "Rock Hour" it could mean anyone of thoose bands will be played, insane.
