emilie autumns comment just reminded me that there's rare cases where the baby never leaves the mother because it forms in the wrong area and just keeps feeding off the mother by latching on to her blood vessels and/or intestines, it does whatever it can to gain nutrience. acting just like a parasite. There's also parasitic twins, which I think was what emilie was talking about. The second fetus develops inside the other twin, and feeds off them while inside the womb, and feeds off them outside the womb their whole life until they get removed. This condition has parasite in the name, so I think it's fair to call the fetus a parasite in that situation.
