Sorry I meant something like this kind of trees:

(The "new" ones look like more simple models, but with better and less variable textures)

Ok, now you are just making shit up.  Looks like more simple models?  With better and less variable textures?  Are we looking at the same pictures?  Please tell me you are joking.

What Im saying is that they are allocating better the resources, Uncharted 2 looks better, yes, the trees look more detailed because of better shading and texturing, they are avoiding putting too much resources in things that are no getting the spotlight, Im sorry if you can't understand me because I'm not saying that the game looks bad of equal than Drakes Fortune.

Please explain in more detail.  I would love to know how you came to the conclusion that they are avoiding putting too many resources in things that aren't getting the spotlight.

You implied that the game looked better than Uncharted 1 only because it didn't have to focus on vegetation.  I clearly proved that you were wrong.

Then you tried to imply that somehow, the art assets in Uncharted 1 were more varied, with more complex models, while Uncharted 2 simplified the models, and improved textures, but cut down on the number of textures.  Clearly you are wrong again.  Unless you are blind.

You are implying that Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 feature basically have the same amount of technical execution, except that Uncharted 2 just does a better job of devoting resources to make the scene look good.  But that's clearly not the case.  The engine iteration powering Uncharted 2 is clearly heads and shoulders more powerful than the one that powered Uncharted 1.

It's not a matter of making only the things you notice look better.  Naughty Dog has taken one of the better looking game engines out there, and made it look so much better.  And it annoys me that you are trying to play down the fact that Uncharted 2 is amazing looking in every aspect.  And it's improved upon it's predecessor in every aspect.

EDIT:  It's like me saying Doom 3 only looks good because it's a corridor shooter and doesn't feature outdoor environments.  Except that the Doom 3 engine did a great job with outdoor environments and the game actually did have a few sections that took place outdoors.
