Is a fetus a parasite?

A fetus is a developing mammal or other viviparous vertebrate, after the embryonic stage and before birth. (source: wikipedia)
So, a fetus can actually be called a parasite, since it develops off the mother and the mother's physical attributes are decreased while she's carrying the fetus.
