I would say the average gamer have bought a PS2 and is waiting to buy a new console soon.
The people that are buying PS2 now are not the average gamers.
Again, PS2 is not competing with PS3, PS2 is competing with Wii.
I think the average gamers expect more from a PS3 than just replaying PS2 games. People want new games, not old games.
