@Stof. Really, the way people use the word 'gay' simply means 'bad'. It has nothing to do with connotations of homosexuality or relations to homosexuality at all, that is where the word came from but the majority of people no longer use it in that sense. You just defined the word in a way that completely missed the point of his post. Really the way it would be defined would be something like;
9. To be bad or unacceptable
I agree that saying something is gay is a bad thing but the majority of the people saying it are not saying it due to a prejudice against gays - they're saying it because its meaning is simply 'bad' now to them. Like when people say 'Christ!' they aren't actually praying.
