I like the campaign. Sure, its just a word but still it can't hurt if people think about what they say once in a while.
I think that people are much more aware of what they do when making a racial joke than they are about using the gay-word. Probably because it's not that obvious who's gay and who isn't.
It's also funny that here in Germany kids actually rather use the term gay in this context than the german equivalent. Shows that they do not intend to discriminate a minority and rather demonstrates that they don't really think about what they say when they think it's a cool expression.
So again: Can't hurt to make people think once in a while. Helps kids growing up a little :)
