I thought you knew better than to think that anything is free.
Somebody is going to pay the cost. The hospital that treats that person for "free" has to pay for labour and supplies, and somebody is going to get the bill for that. If the government doesn't pick up the tab (socialism!), hospitals will have to raise the price they charge all their paying customers.
So does it really make a difference to you whether you pay higher insurance premiums to treat the poor or pay higher taxes? Of course, there's also the option to just not treat the poor at all...
On topic to this thread, these guys are doing a great job of justifying all the domestic wiretapping and other civil liberty restricting policies that Obama is perpetuating from the Bush administration. Good job, guys. Heaven forbid the paranoia levels drop off.
