The problem I also see with his analysis of sony is nobodys parent is gonna buy it as there's that many models now they'd be terrified of buying the wrong one.
There's a lot to be said for a single model system and this is a big reason why Wii sells so well - people buy simple concepts and the playstation isn't.
I know the 360 has 2 - 3 different versions but the names help give some clarity (Which would you like - Arcade, Premium or Elite?) but 40Gb, 60GB, 80GB and if you want backwards compatibility you cant get 40GB but even then you need software patch blah... Too much info for the average consumer and Sony have put themselves into a niche imo
Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...
"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony
