Help me out - will a PS3 Slim really change the game?

The Slim by itself will do nothing much. It needs a price cut and GT5 this year worlwide as well as FF13 in Japan. Uncharted 2 worlwide is a nice boon also. Arguably, PS2 B/C would help too.
