I would say final fight 1 was better than SOR 1 simply because the characters in FF had a bigger moves set.
But after that Final fight went down big time, part 2 & 3 were just poor whereas SOR 2 and 3 were excellent.
I cant think of one side scrolling beat em up that has more individual character moves sets than SOR 3
IGN reviewed Turtles in time recently and they got it spot on.......... they gave it 5.9 due to just simply mashing the same button repeatedly.
Oh, and SOR's music is simply the best of the 16 bit era.
