Enix doesn't really develop any of their games. They just owned the IP's and sourced them out to various developers.
@Op For me Enix is the better publisher, Square the better developer. Enix knew what developers made good games and chose them, and buisness-wise they were smarter than Square. By that I mean they didn't almost get bankrupt again and again. Square was a beast in the Snes/PS1 era though. They used to be a developer that I would buy a game, without knowing anything about it, if I saw their name on the box. Most of the time when I bought these games it was years after they were made, because I wasn't old enough to find them when they came out. The one exception was final fantasy though, and I've been a fan of the series since I was 4.
