Is 360 or PS3 more powerful? Let's settle this with specs

 You know its funny, a lot of people argued that the PS2 had the best graphics and it wasn't due to specifications. It was attributed to talent and such, but now its all down to hardware performance? What ever happened to the idea that you give the right team the right amount of money and you get a superb game back without resorting to all this hoopla? Why are people forgetting that Sony has been gathering some of the most technically talented development studios and funding their games more than most?
