Anyway IV and VI are the best Final Fantasy games and the fact that you fail to mention them makes you highly suspect on JRPG taste :P

I'll admit that I've always wanted to play them but unfortunately I bought the PS1 remakes :( and I can't stand the load times. BUT I did recently purchase a DS so when I get paid next week I'll buy IV and Chrono Trigger.....I might have to grin and bear playing through VI PS1's remake but until I play them I won't pass judgement. IX and XII however suck in my opinion and fail when compared to VII, VIII and X of course once again this is all my Opinon

Why not make good use of that GBA slot and buy the FFVI port on Ds, it has a far better translation then the PS1 port.

I hear that it suffers from Heavy sound compression and the soundtrack sounds a little flat. Is this true?
