I dunno, the 40GB model seems to be doing well enough. It's of course still a bit early to tell from first week sales, but they might get some momentum going with it.
Cutting BC was a bad move as far as we gamers are concerned, but I doubt it'll do much to PS3 sales, except maybe add to the pile of Sony's bad PR.
