Take into account one year lead for XB360 on launch dates and how long XB360 has been cheaper (i.e., excluding Elite, almost always). And for its first Xmas PS3 was already launched only in half of its biggest markets, and plagued by blue laser shortages too. Considering how horribly expensive PS3 was and how bad Sony messed its own things, XB360 lead, despite not easy to fill, is very disappointing in relation to MS efforts and Sony mistakes.

Or just see how fast Wii wasted XB360's one year lead, less than one year IIRC.

If that lead is all MS was able to do with its immense resources and with competitors suffering heavy handicaps, Ballmer has some good reasons to jump like Tom Cruise, sweat buckets and throw chairs.
