The PS3 predictions don't make any sense. Isn't the 360 just as affordable?
If what this guy was saying about parents choosing another console instead was true, we would have seen it last year, which NPD said we didn't. In fact, it was the DS that benefited from the lack of Wiis. I think parents are much more likely to drop $130 on a system instead of $400. Even if the parents were just looking to hold their kids over until they could get a Wii, it would still be cheaper to get both the DS and Wii than the low end PS3.
