This year alone Sony sold PS3 consoles with almost no games. What if there are enough games...WHAT WILL HAPPEN. the xbox360 needs games to sell....the PS3 also needs games, but history has proven it sold with just a few games.
I guess MS is going to be thumbed in 2008 because the PS3 will sell more consoles in a shorter span then the Xbox360 did. This alone is the prove of the strength of the PS brand and the PS3.
Bioshock did not sell as many as the hypers thought.
Halo3 will sell about 4 million pieces.
KZ2 will sell about 5-6 million pieces. This is guaranteed (becoz Sony will push it in your face).
Say KZ2 can push 3mil consoles :)
MGS can push 2 mil consoles :)
that's 5million + 8 million this year = 13 million by February
But the future is bright and fail prove also counting the major trolling by certain people :)

Im sorry but your post is just wrong. Your six million consoles was the amount they planned on shipping by march, not the amount they plan on selling by '08. (Unless you have a source to prove me wrong?) Do you have any backing on Jan moving 2 million consoles? Last January they struggled past 300k, I doubt they are suddenly going to sell 7 times as many in the same time of year. Halo 3 will sell 4 Million copies, are you insane? Its already at 5.14M according to this site! KZ2 isnt guaranteed to do well at all, its a sequal to an average game. It currently looks good and probably will be good, but thats what people thought about Lair as well. Also it simply wont push 3M consoles, that shit just doesnt happen. MGS wont push 2M either. It doesnt just work as individual games 'pushing' consoles, its about the library and perceived value. Personally, I would bet that by Febuary there will not be 13M consoles sold. |
