Didn't ioi say once in a thread that most of the 360's sells are made from the pro SKU? (like 75%)
Was that different during the last holiday season?

During the year its a higher Premium -> Arcade ratio, but during the holidays what matters more are the entry costs which are the costs of the basic SKUs and the costs out the door with games, so bundles play an important role. During the holidays the Arcade is relatively more popular than the Premium due to gift giving etc.

In markets like the U.S.A. where the relative pricing between the Premium @ $299 and the PS3 80GB are closer, the Xbox 360s stronger market presence wins them the day for the core market. The actual price difference out the door is actually relatively small, about $50 once you consider the Live gold membership that most of these SKUs are sold with amd the average sale price is about the same. So the Premium holds its own @ only $50 cheaper but the Arcade tips it in their favour.

In markets like the greater E.U. its the Arcade machine which likely wins out more and even before the price cuts Microsoft admitted that some regions had > than 50% Arcade adoption. This is due to the absolute price difference for the casual type market, but the Core market is much harder due to higher PC game sales (many Xbox 360 games are PC/360 crosses) and also because their exclusives aren't as popular there, for example Halo 3.
