Yeah, sorry "pretty successful" is rather subjective as far as R&C goes. I don't know whether R&C made a profit or not on the PS3 yet.

But, remember, many PS3 games haven't sold 1.5 million copies yet.

I know development is a numbers game, but I do wish for devs to take a chance and release another Sly and J&D.

...and you'd feel comfortable with those games going up against Gears 3 and Halo:Reach?

C'mon man. Sony isnt competing with Nintendo anymore. They're competing with 360 for that 16-32 age group.

I don't think that Sony will ever win the war by going with the exact same games as the 360.

Xbox LIVE guarantee that those two games will be successful and sorry but PSN is not swaying that many people to give up XBL. I believe that more than anything else right now, XBL is selling 360 consoles. People who play online want to play with their friends and chances are that most of their friends are on XBL.

I have PSN and XBL, but when a multiplatform game comes out, its an easy decision which version I want to buy. I know my friends are on XBL, so I buy the game for the 360. The PS3 games I buy are either exclusives or single player games that don't have a strong multiplayer component.

Sony needs to get back to the diverse lineup that the PS2 offered that no one else could match, not keep try to go head to head with the 360.
