fanboys want to confirm to themselves that they spent the little money they have on the system that offers the most "bang for the buck." They might also be fanboys because they have been jaded by systems in the past. I, for instance, dislike the N64 with a passion because I had 4 controllers break on me (each one had that 1/10 inch thick stick fall off/snap on me).
