Bias, I would think, comes from our deep beliefs that were either embedded in us as children or as we grew and started to associate one thing with godliness and have a natural tendency towards it. I do detect some subtle waves in your fourth paragraph on my bias meter though.
Also, your bias came from the belief that games should be difficult and fun and usually are only for those who can game. The Wii pulls the carpet from under your feet and insults your idea. It turned you against it. I doubt you'll be able to keep this up for a few weeks and you may fall into old habits again. You hold onto your beliefs for your life and it is very difficult to change them.
