How has Tekken's development been bigger than the development of a single character, 3 punch, 3 kick, 3 special move fighter to what it is today? You do realize the first Street Fighter really had no throws to break turtling, no throw techs, no combos, no super combos, no damage scaling, no roster variety, no 2-in-1's, no super cancels, no taunts (which is probably only really important to 3), no reversals, no focus attacks (especially as a means to roman cancel), no real footsie game (which is a huge part of many games in the 2D fighting genre), no super jumps, no dashing, no back dashing, and on and on and on and on and on. I mean, if you want to say the development between Street Fighter II and Street Fighter IV is lacking compared to Tekken to Tekken 6 that's completely understandable, but Street Fighter I was essentialy the most basic 2D Fighter you can really think of and it was until Street Fighter II that Capcom really helped define what we now see as a 2D fighter today. The step between Street Fighter and Street Fighter II was monumental, and I really don't see how Tekken has developed as much as Street Fighter did from its first iteration to its second.
