Sony's fiscal forecast disagrees with this logic in two different ways.
First of all, there is absolutely no way Sony could come anywhere close to selling 13 million PS3s by the end of March without a significant price drop in the next two months.
Second of all, there is again absolutely no reason why Sony would be forecasting such a massive loss for this fiscal year if they were going to be profiting off the PS3 by the margin that the slim would give them at $399.
