I did read it. And yes I have. Their AI is some of the worst of any game. Sure they walk around in patterns and blurb out random sentences or have "conversations" one of 5 total that consist of what might look like conversations, but that doesn't change the fact that the ai is dumb as fuck. Oblivion has some of the most lifeless AI i've seen in any game. They work more to ruin the immersion than increase it. Another annoying thing is that if you do a "crime" somewhere, everyone in the rest of the world will know. I couldn't be arsed to finish it either because the game really didn't give me a lot of will to do so.. it got very boring after a while.. But this is just my opinion, and that's not because I don't like open world games.. in my opinion all games need to give you a drive.. oblivion doesn't give you that at all. |
I respect the fact that you don't like the games, because no game is for everybody. However, I would challenge you to think of an open world game that has better AI than Bethesda's games.
