I would feel guilty not giving them money for a game I'll enjoy so much.

So no, they'll get my money this once. What happens after that is up to them.

 

Buy it, but wait one week and do your bit to drop the first week sales.  That's what I'm going to do.  I feel kind of sorry for IW here, who I think are the second best FPS developer around (after Valve), and who I feel are somewhat caught by the choices made by Activision and the bad reaction the publisher has been eliciting recently.

In the end though, millions of gamers are going to buy it day one whatver (many of whom will later squeal in agony when game prices take a permenant hike, at least for AAA games) - the need to be first online, get Achievements/Trophies first, etc. is going to outweigh any notion of sending Activision a message.

Sad but true.
