Don't you think 7 years in prison will only make the kid an even worse and violent person that's more inclined to crime? At the very least, he'll definetly not become a productive member of society if he goes to jail for 7 years.

In reality of course I dont think 7 years would be appropriate, but maybe 6-12 months would be right. I dunno why I sometimes reply to topics without thinking or being completely serious...

What sentence do you think would be appropriate? (if assuming that what we see and read on this article/clip are the true circumstances - unprovoked violence, and the victim broke his nose)

Some custody and a crap-tonne of community service perhaps.
