sorry, but I don't think 30% is an understatement. None of my friends has had RROD. My friends and I have never used the 360 upright...maybe thats the trick.
I've had one since March 2006...gave it to my niece so i could buy an elite in 2007....no problems.
I've turned it on almost everyday since and have even left it on overnight many times because I couldn't save.
It's a shame MS wanted to get the 360 out before the other consoles and sacrificed reliability.
Being in 2nd feels so much better than being in 3rd
