No Silent Hill on Wii because Wii users aren't hardcore

Your argument fell when you forgot that RE4 is a port, and and Halo 3 and Bioshock are original games. Thus using RE4's lower sales is poor way to prove the Wii cannot sell hardcore games.

I see your point and I even think Zelda is a game for hardcore gamers. About Bioshock, though, you are right that it is original. On the other hand, a version with better graphics and better contol is on the PC.

 

But the Pc version did come out at the same time, so it was also new, and not a port. On that matter, even Twilight Princess isn't quite a port, as it came out at the same time as the GC version (actually a few days sooner in some regions).

 Actually your wrong about that. Twilight Princess was originally supposed to be Nintendo breathing new life into the GameCube. Remember in 2005 Nintendo called Sony stupid for releasing a new console and then in 2006 they announced the Wii. After that announcement Twilight Princess was nearly complete so they decided to port it over and improve what they could and create controls that worked well for it on the Wii. According to some devs the Wii and GC are basically the same techwize so it was an easy port for Nintendo to do. 

Oh and before you question this. The Wii technically speaking should have been quite easy to come up with for internal hardware. It is basically took nothing but a few phone calls to IBM and ATI to setup production lines. The WiiMote was probably in development for a while but I doubt Nintendo was planning on releasing a new console till now because logically it would have made more sense for Sony to ride their PS2 wave a bit longer. Sorry to say Nintendo, at least used to, thinks Sony is a more worthy opponent then Microsoft in the console race. I know this paragraph has no purpose in this thread but figured I would throw it out as its slightly relevant. 

So Nintendo actaully called Sony "stupid", do you have the actual quote for that?

As a mod perhaps you should try and cut back a little on the inflammatory language and pointed comments, it would be appreciated.
