A nunchuk with a mouse? Is that any good?
weird :x

Absolutely it is. Think about it. The thing people that want mouse and keyboard preach is SO MUCH BETTER than dual analog is their ability to look around faster and with greater precision.
That's what the mouse is about.
However, their actual MOVEMENT is inferior to the left analog concept. The left analog produces vastly superior precision for actual MOVEMENT, so the console players have the advantage there.
This is where Wii gameplay comes in. The Wii offers near-mouse-like precision and speed for looking around, and an analog for moving. But the Wiimote is still considered inferior (albeit A LOT MORE FUN) than a good mouse).
So you put a mouse and an analog together, and you have all the advantages. Actually, I have something even better than that setup there, but that thing's for console gameplay, and what I have is only for PC. It's a Logitech G13 + G5, which combines mouse, keyboard, and analog stick.

Um.... No
Movement is fine on a keyboard and mouse.

To the thread topic,
Mouse and keyboard is my pick.

FACT: You are wrong.
FACT: You cannot get the same precision out of pressing a button that simply triggers YES or NO (GO or STOP) as you can from an analog that can determine between as many different motion speeds as the developers want to program in. ONE speed of motion (two if you have a walk/run button to add to the mix), or AS MANY AS YOU WANT? Which is better?
FACT: I've been playing first-person shooters literally since Wolfenstein 3D first came out, and I'm quite literally familiar with every single type of FPS control that's ever come out. Including the alternatives that improve on the traditional mouse + keyboard. And as a result, I can assure you, there ARE superior methods of control. Mouse + keyboard DOES work acceptably, but mouse + analog works BETTER. I know this from experience.

FACT:
When you are trying to sneak to an enemy with the vastly superior analog stick you are most likely wishing for a walk button.

What? No, I'm pretty certain that every single game that allowed analog OR keyboard usage gave me the option of slower, sneakier movement with the analog. Walk button doesn't walk slowly enough in all cases.
