I don't think anything near max 2TB spec is going to be available for quite awhile. Sounds like the announcement simply means they have the specifications outlined projecting for developments over the next several years.

I'm not even sure the photolithographic technology even exists to print memory storage circuits that dense yet or we'd be seeing much higher capacity SSD drives currently, most likely at lower prices.

32GB NAND chips have only recently been made inexpensively enough to use in consumer devices like the iPhone.

But with the rate at which solid state memory is growing, having onboard memory seems quite a bit less favorable given its non expandability (expansion ports aside) without replacing the device.
