That would be for movie level CGI. Games wouldn't need to be that exact, at least until the uncanny valley is crossed. It's main use for now would be disc space saving, or enhancing streaming, but either way would just involve the data in games used right now.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
