I could see everyone who buys Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers Brawl buying a Wii Fit, and then some, certainly in terms of sheer numbers.
Looking at Wii Fit I think you could immediately jump to the conclusion that it will be a must have for all hardcore gamers. Gamers that don't have Wii Fit will be laughed at by their brethren. The sales of Wii Fit will be bringing more and more third parties to the Wii as sales go through the roof.
In my experience people who spend money on enjoyable experiences tend to come back to those experiences again and again. After seeing the videos of Wii Fit I believe it's easy to predict that the long term appeal of Wii Fit is going to measured in decades.
